The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board has decided to construct permanent temples at Rajahmundry and Vijayawada, said Chadalavada Krishna Murthy, TTD chairman.
After a day-long meeting with Trust Board members, the chairman briefed the media and said chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has inspected some sites for the purpose.
As per the directions of the court and the state government, the Board has decided to construct the Thousand Pillars Mandapam at Khakisopa garden, popularly known as Narayanagiri garden. The Board has constituted a committee with technical advisor Kondala Rao and some Board members for the purpose, with himself as its chairman, Krishna Murthy said.
The TTD is drafting a master plan for the development of Vontimitta Kodandaramaswamy temple, including erection of a huge Hanuman statue in front of the temple and permanent arrangements for conducting Rama Navami uthsavams, he said.
